See also annotations for some pages.
- Latham C. M. Blacker, A history of the family of Blacker of Carrickblacker in Ireland (Dublin, 1901) (FamilySearch Digital Library)
The earlier parts of the descent must be rejected as unhistorical. The claim of a Viking descent was strongly criticised by Oswald Barron in an article entitled "Skoal to the Norseman!" in The Ancestor, number 9 (1904). The part of the article dealing with the Blackers is at pages 105-112.

- Blacker in Yorkshire and Ireland
Typescript presented in 1953 to the Yorkshire Archaeological Society by L. V. S. Blacker, the son of Latham C. M. Blacker, the author of "A history of the family of Blacker of Carrickblacker in Ireland" (1901). As in that work, the claimed Viking descent must be rejected as unhistorical.
