A search facility based on lists and indexes of records held at the UK National Archives, compiled by Vance Mead, Robert Palmer, Susanne Brand, David King, Helen Good, Jens Roehrkasten, Penny Tucker, Michael Scott and Alan Cooper, from photographs of the documents made available by Robert Palmer, Elspeth Rosbrook, Susanne Brand and Helen Good at the Anglo-American Legal Tradition website
(Note that the pre-1600 CP 40 plea rolls are not included, but have their own search facility.)

To allow for variations in spelling, the use of either soundex or wildcards is recommended.
