I Robert Goodebarne of Brampton in the parish of Cantley have given, granted and by this charter confirmed to Alfred Rawson, gentleman, James Rawson, his son and heir apparent, William Lawe of Brampton and George Moldson of the same all my messuages, lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, woods, rents, reversions and services in Doncastr', Exthorp, Balbye and Anston or elsewhere in the county of York, to hold to them, their heirs and assigns for ever of the chief lords, to the use of me for the term of my life without impeachment of waste, and after my decease to the use of John Goodebarne my son and heir apparent and his heirs for ever. Warranty by Robert and his heirs.
Given on 23 January 5 Edward VI [1551/2].
